Quality
craftsmanship and distinctive crafts has always been a family
distinction. My father was a wonderful craftsman in the medium of
wood. Much of his early creative years was spent at a company who
made on-of-a-kind decorative pieces for interior designers. Later
he opened a factory and spent his time developing imaginative displays
for art and collectibles. After he retired he created a
breathtaking line of jewelry boxes inlayed with exotic woods that he
sold at craft shows around western Tennessee.
I've worked for
years in an office, one day some time ago I was telling my father about
getting the payroll done for the week and Monday it will start all over
again, and he said "You never seem to really finish, how do you get a
feeling of accomplishment?"
I didn't really understand all of what
he said until about 15 years ago, I met a wonderful lady who taught me to
create my first
Stained Glass
piece. When I
finished my first Stained Glass piece, my dads words had total meaning
to me and I have had an insatiable appetite for the creative process
ever since. Since then I have grown to love
Handmade Lampwork Glass Beads,
Handmade Soap,
Egg Art and
Handcrafted Jewelry.
I'm not sure
if it was being surrounded by my dads work or if it's just naturally in my blood,
but I really enjoy the creative process more than I could ever
express in words. I've always said I'm not an artist, just a
crafter, because I enjoy so many different mediums, and before I'm gone
I hope to enjoy many more.
I continue
doing the crafts I really enjoy and have sold them thru arts & crafts
fairs and stores for about 10 years. I felt it was time to expand
my obsessions to the web.
I
hope you enjoy my website as much as I enjoyed putting it together
