Our Own Handmade Soap Ingredients:
Water, Saponified oils of Palm, Coconut, Olive,
Avocado, Caster and Pampering Cocoa Butter, Essential and/or
Fragrance oil & Cosmetic Grade coloring. Some may contain Neem Oil, Honey,
Goats Milk, Bees Wax, Oatmeal, Dried Orange Peal, Cornmeal, Dried Herbs, Coffee, and
Coffee Grounds.

Avocado oil:
A rich, heavy, but
penetrating oil that is full of nutritive and therapeutic
components. It contains vitamins A, C, D and E, proteins,
beta-carotene, lecithin, fatty acids and the "youth mineral"
potassium. Helps soften the skin, and has superior
moisturizing effects on the upper layer of the skin.
Caster Oil:
Creates a
protective barrier on the skin and is soothing.
Cocoa Butter: It actually
contains about 5IU of vitamin E per ounce. Is highly
protective, soften and lubricates the skin, reduces dryness and
improves skin flexibility.
Coconut oil:
Commonly used to promote lather in soaps and gels. Wonderfully
emollient and has cooling properties.
Fragrance
Oils:
We do use
top quality synthetic fragrance oils in our soaps, to give our soaps a nice
fresh smell that will last.
Goats Milk:
Leaves the skin feeling silky smooth with a hydrated
appearance. Milk proteins smooth, firm and soften the skin.
It has excellent nutritive values packed with proteins,
beneficial fats, vitamins, amino acids and calcium.
Honey:
Used since Egyptian times for medicinal and cosmetic purposes.
Honey is full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes.
Has an emollient property, which makes the skin feel softer and
smoother, reduces rough feeling, cracking and irritation.
Honey is cleansing, an antibacterial and has natural preservative
properties.
Honey also
acts as a natural humectants which helps your skin retain its
moisture, and leaves a micro
thin protective film on the skin.
Lye:
While we do
use lye (or sodium hydroxide) as a basis for our soaps, once the
chemical process, called "saponification" has taken place, the lye
is not there anymore. Can't have true Soap without it.
Neem Oil:
Used widely in
India as an antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic,
antiphrastic agent in toiletries, soap, toothpaste and skin/hair
care products. It is used to treat skin disorders such as
eczema, psoriasis ringworm, chicken pox, to name only a few.
Also can be used as a bug repellant, when used in pet soap will help
kill and repel fleas and to treat hot spots.
Olive Oil:
Contains
protein, minerals and vitamins. Superior penetrating power.
Helps soften the skin and has superior moisturizing effects on the
upper layer of the skin.
Palm Oil:
Rich source of
vitamin A. Used in soap to help produce a hard bar.
